This foundation gives academic scholarships to graduating seniors of Maury County .  This scholarship foundation is in memory of a very special man, my brother Joshua L. Bailey, who had a love for education.  Joshua was a runner, a track/cross country coach, a soldier, and most importantly an educator. 

Joshua was a very determined young man.  He never let any obstacle, even a severe learning disability, stop him from achieving the many goal which he set for himself.  Joshua accomplished so much in his 23 short years, yet he saw his greatest accomplishment as learning to read.

As any solider before going into combat in Iraq, Joshua had to write a will.  In his will, Joshua ask that in the event of his death that all of his military pay be designated to fund college scholarships.  Unfortunately upon his return to the states, he was tragically taken from us in an automobile accident.

As members of the foundation and the scholarship committee, we are fullfilling Joshua's wishes.
